Back in May 2009 several people we support and their staff went on a weekend trip to London, travelling down by train and taking in a show and the sights. A great time was had by all. The trip was arranged by Angela Miveld, one of our Inclusion Co-ordinators, whose role is to support teams and people we support to have an extended range of life opportunities. This can include getting a job, building relationships, a curry night, snow-boarding in Manchester and lots besides. The idea of going to London came from Voices R Us. When people we support were discussing their wishes for the future a number of people wanted to go on a short break to London. This was then passed onto the Inclusion Team to help organise. The two days included lots of sightseeing, they all went on the red open top bus (this was particular special for Paul who wish was to go on a red open top bus in London).
