Liverpool Community Health are having a ‘Bake Off’ themed coffee morning at the Lifehouse centre! - 14th February 2014

LCH to host ‘Bake Off’ themed Coffee Morning at Lifehouse Centre

Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust (LCH) is hosting a special Valentine’s Day Coffee and Cake Morning, where members of the local community can drop in and find out more about the full range of CEDAS services it provides for local people with mobility issues.

The ‘Bake Off’ event will be held between 10am – 2pm on Friday 14th February at The Lifehouse Centre on Summers Road, Brunswick Business Park, Liverpool L3 4BL, and will be completely free to attend.

Patients and members of the public are being invited to attend this informal customer engagement drop-in event in order to help shape the future of any of the following CEDAS services:

  • Liverpool Wheelchair Service
  • Liverpool and Sefton’s Community Equipment Services
  • The Manual Handling Team
  • Community Equipment Nurse Specialists
  • Medical Devices Team.

Throughout the event, people can drop and ‘have their say’ over coffee and cake on how they feel these services can be further improved in the future.

In addition, there will also be a marketstall area which will provide people with more information about the wide range of support available for people with mobility issues from the CEDAS services.

All of the cakes for this Bake Off themed event are being baked by NHS staff members in their own time as a way to show they care, and the guests who attend will have an opportunity to vote for their favourite one.

Christine McGhee, Service CEDAS Clinical Operations Manager for Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust explains:

“Our coffee and cake morning will be a fantastic chance for people to meet and chat to our friendly team in a relaxed and informal environment, and to let us know what more they feel that we can do to improve our services and help support people in our local communities with mobility issues.

“It’s also a chance for us as health professionals to be able to listen to our patients, and demonstrate how much we care about providing the best quality of care possible to everyone who uses one of our services.”

Any members of the public who are unable to attend the event on the day, can still have their say on how services can be improved by emailing their views and ideas to:
