Hi “Carmel speaking” is what you will hear if you call Options Monday to Wednesday as chances are you’ll be greeted by me. I will do my best to help you in any way I can. I am half of the reception team of two, my other half is Janet. I’ve been working for Options since the last Millennium! (1999). In my ‘other life’ I am a bit of a concert goer, and love being either in my garden or rambling round the countryside. |

Hi I’m Julia Erksine, I have been a trustee of Options for 6 years and was delighted as a family member and as an advocate for people with disabilities to join such a progressive organisation. As manager of Merseyside Partners in Policymaking I am passionate about people with disabilities having the lives they choose, great support providers and families being really listened to. I also work for the North West Training and Development Team providing training and support to help anyone who needs it with help to get things right. That often means tussling with bureaucracy and ineffectiveness. I aim to ensure Options delivers on its values and stays true to its mission. Outside of work I’m a full-time mum facing the challenge of nurturing 3 gorgeous but typically challenging young women. |

I’m Nikki Daley, the most recent person to join the trustees. My paid employment is as Chief Executive of Expanding Horizons Merseyside. I hope I can bring my knowledge of multi-agency working, managing third sector organisations and of funding opportunities to Options. Working in the voluntary sector is becoming ever more complex and I aim to bring clarity of thinking and purpose to Options. I’d like to be able to both support senior managers and ask the challenging questions that helps Options to provide great support. My passion outside of work is running so if you are lining up for a 10k we might bump into each other. |
