We provide two types of support, Outreach and Supported Living.
If you are interested in support from Options you can:
- Contact us for a general chat – no commitment or obligation – simply a helpful chat
- Buy a service directly from Options, using a private income or ILF funding
- Contact a social worker/ care manager (we can give you telephone numbers) in order to get care assessment
- Complete a self-assessment ‘on-line’ in order to get an allocation of funding to spend, on a service you choose (this will be dependent on how far your local authority has developed individual budgets)
- Appoint a broker to help you to purchase the support you want (Options can provide a skilled & trained broker).
Outreach
This is for people who live at home with their family/carer or could be supported by another provider. Outreach support can range from 4 hours up to 60 hours a week depending on the person’s wishes and budget. The support is based around social inclusion, which includes supporting people into voluntary/paid employment, education, friendships, holidays…
We have an Outreach Development Manager who manages three Outreach Team Leaders, who each oversee 400 hours of support.
The Team Leader responsibilities include rotas, payroll, Essential Lifestyle Plans, staff recruitment, supervisions, team meetings and day to day running of the support for people. Individuals and families can have as much involvement as they wish.
Supported Living
This is for people who want to live in their own home with support. The majority of the support is 24 hours a day, which may be less if people are supported by another provider or go to work, college… The support will include a staff team of the person’s choice with guidance from family and Team Leader. A Team Leader will manage the team with the same responsibilities as an Outreach Team Leader.
